Nostromo’s IceBrick® provides safe and efficient energy storage, that can be easily and rapidly deployed, for increasing compute capacity (by 5-15%) or reducing energy costs with zero financial risk. The ESaaS (energy storage as-a-service) program covers all upfront capital costs and allows facilities to enjoy these benefits against a monthly, performance-based fee only.
The ESaaS program is currently limited to 450 Megawatt-hour of storage capacity. Allocations are being reserved to qualifying facilities (details on eligibility below) on a first-come, first-serve basis. Interested parties are encouraged to inquire as soon as possible and reserve their capacity while still available.
An important part of financing the IceBrick unique energy storage as-a-service (ESaaS) program is a $305 Million conditional commitment for loan guarantee issued by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), through the Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF). This conditional commitment was issued following extensive evaluations and underscores the innovation and unique value offered by the IceBrick technology, as well as its alignment with the administrations’ priorities of accelerating energy to data centers while making power more reliable, clean and affordable to all consumers. Financing remains subject to certain conditions as customary for this type of transaction.
